Hello friends and welcome to this week’s edition of the Rogers Report! I’m back home for a few days in between Florida trips, so it’s safe to say I’ll be watching the Cognizant Classic and Season 3 of “Full Swing” nonstop for the foreseeable future. Shout out to my coworker and pal, Dylan Dethier, who is once again featured on Netflix!

The biggest reasons to watch Netflix’s new ‘Full Swing’ season? @dylan_dethier tells you (P.S. he is in the show)

Okay, let’s get to it.

The part of Jake Knapp’s 59 you didn’t see

Jake Knapp fired a 12-under 59 in Round 1 of the Cognizant Classic Thursday, just the 15th sub-60 round in PGA Tour history. They say it takes a village, so let’s take a look at how an important member of Team Knapp contributed to this massive feat.

Knapp’s girlfriend, Makena White (who is a hilarious follow on Twitter, by the way), was out at PGA National on Thursday morning. While things were going extremely well for Knapp, White can’t say the same about her morning.

10:08 EST

Mak: sat in blue gum in white dress

Jake: -8 thru 11

— Mak (@makenawhite) February 27, 2025

Between White’s underwear falling out of her purse and a random man retrieving it, her sunglasses getting stolen and then sitting in gum, this is probably the golf spectator version of shooting, like, 120. Not ideal! l would have turned right around and gone home at around 10:09 a.m. sharp. But not White! She’s was willing to face this series of highly unfortunate events in order to witness her man make history. Hey, maybe her misfortune even helped it happen. Maybe the golf gods knew her not-so-good morning would mean Knapp was about to have an extra-impressive round, balancing each other out.

Either way, congratulations to Knapp. And to Makena White: we see you and we appreciate you!

And just in case you were wondering, the Scoop effect is alive and well. Here’s a glimpse into an unreleased episode that we very recently filmed.

Brooks Koepka celebrates Hideki Matsuyama

There’s been so much talk of this PGA Tour-LIV merger that I seem to have forgotten a lot of these guys are pals. Every time I check Twitter, there seems to be another “update” from commissioners and the people in charge, but we haven’t seen much interaction between players on either side because they simply aren’t at many events together anymore. That changed a lot this week when Srixon shared a sweet moment between Brooks Koepka and Hideki Matsuyama from one of their content shoots.

I love this so so much https://t.co/oQTMPxvP3v

Koepka brought out a cake to celebrate Matsuyama’s birthday the way the rest of us would do for a close pal. I love it!

And speaking of Koepka, he took his talents to TGL on Tuesday night to support some of his other pals as they teed it up at SoFi Center.

I’ve missed seeing all these guys together. Major season can’t some soon enough.

My favorite family in golf right now

We here at the Rogers Report do not pick favorites, but if I absolutely had to, I’d tell you that my current golf content fixation is the Finau family. They’re so great that even my non-golf-loving sister is obsessed with them.

98% of the time my sisters don’t really care about golf but every so often I get a text like this pic.twitter.com/mOQDCNBiTL

The Finaus just welcomed their sixth child, so Tony Finau went to play in TGL this week while the rest of the family supported from home. And the video they shared to hype up their dad was incredible.

I think what I love most about the Finaus is that they always seem to be having a blast. Whether it’s a long travel day, hanging out on site or cheering Tony on from home, they seem to be having the time of their lives. The energy is contagious! And while the Finau clan danced at home, Tony did the same thing on the first tee box at TGL.

And the support and excitement for each other goes both ways. Check out this sweet video of Finau celebrating after learning that Layna finally regained access to her TikTok account that has over 100,000 followers.

@laynafinau

Not to sound dramatic but losing my TikTok was fr 😭💔 even though I make nothing on here, it was 5 yrs of mems for us. & like I said, Hubs could care less for social media & keeps me in chk w it, but I’m grateful he cheers me on with the things I enjoy doing 🫶🏽

Incredible stuff. Here’s to more Finau family content in our future.
