The final round of the 2025 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches gets underway Sunday morning at PGA National. You can find full Cognizant Classic tee times for Sunday’s final round at the bottom of this post.

Featured tee time for Round 4

On Saturday, during the third round of the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, PGA National finally bit back a little bit.

With the winds picking up and the greens firming up, the Bear Trap got the best of a number of players who held the lead during Saturday’s third round.

First, Taylor Montgomery arrived at the par-3 15th hole and immediately dumped his tee shot in the water. Montgomery’s third from the drop zone came up short again and wound up jammed in between two rocks. After heading back to the drop zone, Montgomery finally found land and made a quadruple bogey to drop out of the lead. Montgomery responded with two birdies in his final three holes to finish at 13-under, three shots off the 54-hole lead.

A few minutes later, Jesper Svensson came to the 15th and hit his tee over the green and into the bunker. But Svensson’s adventures at the 15th were just beginning.

He blasted his second over the green and into the water and eventually left with a triple bogey six. Unlike Montgomery, Svensson didn’t bounce back. He followed his triple with back-to-back pars at 16 and 17 before bogeying 18. He will start Sunday six shots back of the leaders.

Then came Michael Kim, who held the lead standing on the 15th tee box. His tee shot drifted right and banged off the top of the rock wall that guards the front of the green. The ball ricocheted off the rocks to the right and landed in the mud. The lucky break allowed Kim to play his second instead of heading to the drop zone. He took his shoe off and blasted his ball out of the mud to the other side of the green and then two-putted for bogey.

That lucky break saved Kim at least one shot, and he steadied the ship with pars at 16 and 17 before birding 18 to get in the house at 15-under, one shot back of 54-hole leader Jake Knapp.

Among those who were not bitten by the Bear Trap are Russell Henley (14 under), Rickie Fowler (13 under) and Daniel Berger (12 under), all of whom will try to pin their ears back Sunday to grab the trophy.
