Russell Henley hits an iron shot at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Russell Henley got over the hump for the first time in more than two years by winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational by one stroke over Collin Morikawa. It’s Henely’s first PGA Tour victory since the 2022 World Wide Technology Championship.

Henley’s win comes with the same set of irons he used for his most recent win. His set of T100 irons was from the first generation of Titleist’s T-Series, although he has swapped out the 4-iron for a more forgiving and faster T200 model.

Henley’s irons are also unique as he transitions from True Temper’s AMT White shaft in his long irons to the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue in his short irons and wedges.

A more recent addition to the bag is Henley’s Titleist GT3 driver, which he added at the Sentry. The Titleist team said Henley was drawn to the club by the tight spin window he was able to find with the head.

“Yeah, I love the control – and [when it comes to technique/teeing it up higher] I don’t feel like gaining six yards is quite as important as having that tighter window,” Henley said of the GT3. “That’s why you’ll see me tee it up real low sometimes or just kind of like medium… But I think around 25[00 RPMs] is pretty great, and I think if you want to hit bombs, you want to launch it high and spin it at 2,000. But for me, I like launching it a little more 10-11 [degrees], spin at 24, 25[00]. … I try to let the club just send it out there for me.”

Last week at the Cognizant Classic, Henley worked with the Titleist Tour team to dial in a little more fade bias to his gamer by moving the SureFit CG track on the sole of his driver from neutral to the T1 position on the toe side. It paid dividends immediately this week at Bay Hill, as Henley gained +1.339 shots off the tee and earned his fifth PGA Tour title.

Keep reading below for specs on Henley’s full bag of Titleist equipment.

Titleist GT3 Custom Driver

GT3 – Speed-Tuned Distance & Control GT3 offers Titleist’s boldest combination of power and personalization. With a speed-tuned design that allows you to precisely match performance to your most frequent contact location, you can make your biggest drives even bigger while taking total control over flight and shaping. For players with a relatively consistent impact location, GT3 offers a precisely adjustable CG Track to max out distance and directional control. Seamless Thermoform Crown A reimagined ultra-lightweight design, born from a new Proprietary Matrix Polymer. The tunable acoustic properties of this unique composite allow Titleist engineers to realize new material gains while maintaining our signature sound and feel. All wrapped in a clean look that inspires total confidence. Split Mass Construction A breakthrough in internal weighting unlocks longer drives and enhanced directional control in GT3. The Adjustable CG Track now sits closer to the face for more dynamic CG control, while additional discretionary mass is pushed to the back of the club to maintain optimal stability through impact. Advanced Aerodynamics GT3 features a new raised tail contour that represents a dramatic shift in driver aerodynamics. Previously impossible to execute due to design constraints, this advanced shaping results in a driver that swings faster while still providing optimal CG control.

Titleist Vokey SM10 Oil Can Custom Wedge

Vokey Design unveils its new, limited–edition Oil Can finish, a modern update to the classic Vokey Oil Can look, now available with the performance and technology of Vokey Design SM10 wedges. The finish, newly refined and highly durable, is a nod to Vokey’s popular Oil Can finishes of past generations, which date all the way back to the Vokey 200 Series wedges. The new limited–edition finish is applied through a PVD treatment, which helps achieve a rich copper color while minimizing reflectivity and maximizing durability.  Distance and trajectory control: Vokey Design SM10 wedges feature optimized, progressive CG positions to achieve precision in distance and trajectory control. In the 46-52° models, the CG is lower for a better transition from the iron set and more consistent distance gapping. The CG is also pushed out closer to the center of the face, helping to eliminate excessive draw movement and provide a more solid feel, based on tour player feedback and testing. Maximum spin: Vokey’s patented Spin Milled groove cutting process provides a scoreline that delivers higher, more consistent spin, wedge after wedge. A parallel micro-texture between grooves helps maximize spin on partial shots, and a high frequency heat treatment is applied to the impact area, doubling the durability of the groove edge compared to untreated grooves.
